13.3.5
EXEC-APC
The loading tables for the specified servers are generated and activated automatically.
When the server is not specified, the SWU will be assumed and the AMO APC reads from the database the values for ARCHITECTURE and ARCHITECTURE-TYPE which have been configured with the AMO DBC. The AMO APC investigates the applications which have to be loaded using the HW architecture tables. The AMO APC activates the new SWU loading tables. The already existing SWU loading tables will be deleted and exchanged to the new generated ones.
The HW architecture tables can be checked by invoking
STA-LIST:":PDS:APSU/HWARCH?",,,M,N;
Because of overwriting an existing loading table, the AMO DBC has to be executed before the execution of AMO APC.
Changes by AMO DBC or AMO APS will be taken over in the SWU/L00 loading tables only after an execution of "EXEC-APC;".
When the server is specified, the AMO-APC reads the old loading and application tables, investigates which applications have to be loaded for the specified server, deletes the old loading tables and configures new ones. Although "EXEC-APC:server;" is needed in very few cases, it should not be forgotten if whatever change occur in application tables (example: new subsystem by the automatic takeover of the new software version).
If SWS is started with parameter UPDATE=Y, the UPDATE task (at the end of its work) automaticaly executes EXEC-APC for all configured servers.
