23.3.1 CHANGE-AUTH

Action CHANGE-AUTH can be used to change the exec permission of an AMO action.

Basically the class assigned to an AMO action may be anywhere between 0 and 15¹ but the change can only be carried out if the user issuing the command is in possession of the class in question (besides of course possessing class 10 which is required anyhow for being able to call up the command CHANGE-AUTH ).

By the way the usual (standard) class can be restored by the appropriate CHANGE-AUTH command after obtaining its value with the command DISPLAY-AUTH:<amo>,<aktion>,STD;.

Remark: The exec permissions of the actions CHANGE-AUTH, DISPLAY-AUTH, REGENERATE-AUTH of this AMO can equally be changed.

Example:

Setting the exec permission for action CHANGE-USER to class 5:

CHANGE-AUTH:USER,CHANGE,5; or simply CH-AUTH:USER,CH,5;

as mentioned, classes 11-15 are reserved
