23.3.3 REGENERATE-AUTH

To control the kind of output produced one has an optional parameter called TYPE whose default setting for action REGENERATE-AUTH restricts output to those AMO actions whose permission class differs from its standard value (TYPE=DELTA). This is because it is in general sufficient for restoring a previous state after an upgrade or a software transport to regenerate only the permissions which have been changed with respect to their standard value. One should not be surprised if no output line appears here — it only means that all affected AMO actions are currently set to their default permission class.
The parameters AMO and ACTION are also optional. If parameter AMO is not specified, all AMOs will be processed and the affected actions reproduced. If parameter ACTION is not specified, all actions of the affected AMOs will be reproduced. If both parameters are entered however, exactly one1 line of output is generated in form of a CHANGE-AUTH command containing the AMO name, the action verb and the with the corresponding permssion class.
Attention: The reading of hard disk data and their subsequent processing may take up to two minutes.
