Storage of the Memory Definitions
1.
Layout Data Module
Each CC and LTG has a corresponding layout data module. It is used for accessing predefined memories (storage areas) in the SWU database. For each of these memories, it contains the following information:
1.
the memory name
2.
the logical data for determining the memory address
3.
the memory address itself
4.
the index range
5.
the length of the elementary mode
2.
AMO Work Area
The work area in the AMO task contains the necessary data for processing memory contents as hexadecimal files. When the AMO is started, the work area buffer is empty. Up to 400 memory definitions can be buffered.
For processing memory contents as hexadecimal dump files, only data in the AMO work area is accessed. If necessary, the user must copy the required data from other storage areas into the work area.
The AMO work area buffer can be filled by:
1.
creating memory definitions
2.
copying memory definitions
a)
from the layout data module in the processor accessed
b)
from the save area of the resident Displayer task in the main memory of the processor accessed
c)
from the hard disk save area
3.
Resident Task Area
A resident task area is installed in the main memory of each processor, in which a resident Displayer task is installed. It allows restart-safe storing of memory definitions. Up to 50 memory definitions can be saved.
The resident task area buffer can be filled by:
1.
creating memory definitions
2.
copying memory definitions
a)
from the AMO work area
b)
from the hard disk save area
4.
Hard Disk Backup Area
The user can assign a file on the hard disk as a save area for reload-safe storage of memory definitions.
The hard disk save area can be filled by:
1.
creating memory definitions
2.
copying memory definitions
a)
from the AMO work area
b)
from the save area of the resident Displayer task in the main memory of the processor accessed
