83.3.1 ACTIVATE-DSSU

For switch on there are the following ways:
•
activation with conditional loading (ACL),
•
activation with unconditional loading (AUL) or
•
activation with no loading (ANL)
’Loading’ means loading of trunk data on boards, not ’downloading’ of SET400/500.
For activation with conditional loading, there is no loading if not required because of trunk status (e.g. pre-locked trunks).
The trunks and all connected devices will be activated.
When activating, existing status "manual lock" or "long term lock" will be removed.
If the line or one of the terminals selected with the parameter SVC is not operational after the activation (e.g., due to ’blocked by partner system’), the status is reported to the operator in an advisory.
DCI:
This feature allows a second line module to be allocated to a station, to which a DCI (data communication interface) can be attached. In such a case, if the parameter TYPE is declared as STNO and SVC is not specified, then an activate job will also activate the second line module with the DCI.
Voice compression:
If the circuit to be activated is partner of a voice compression connection, the according VCM circuit will be activated automatically if its state is pre-blocked, and the message H24 will be displayed.
