83.3.2
DEACTIVATE-DSSU
Deactivation can be carried out as follows:
•
with pre-blocking (DC),
•
without pre-blocking (DI) or
•
long-term (L)
Deactivation without Pre-Blocking:
The devices are manually blocked. (Long-term blocked devices remain blocked for a long period of time.) Existing connections are released immediately.
Deactivation with Pre-Blocking:
Existing connections are not released, the affected devices are blocked automatically after the release.
Long-Term Deactivation:
The devices are deactivated immediately and will not be administrated by DEP any longer. This is similar to ’Not Equipped’ (NEQ). The feature modem pooling is released.
Reference clock generator:
Parameter REFOFF controls deactivation of reference clock generator. If REFOFF = NO, H10 is displayed for a PEN to which a reference clock generator is assigned. This PEN won’t be deactivated.
If nothing is entered for parameter REFOFF, that means PROMPT, or Y is entered, there will be a check if the trunk represents the active reference clock generator. If the entered PEN leads to the only reference clock generator, H09 prompts, whether to deactivate this PEN or not.
If there are additional reference clock generators available, H08 will be prompted. If Y = deactivate, DEP will select another trunk from the reference clock table (AMO REFTA) as the active reference clock generator.
Voice compression:
If the circuit to be deactivated with OFFTYPE=DC is partner of a voice compression connection, the according VCM circuit will be deactivated automatically and the message H24 will be displayed.
