90.3.9
START-FAMUP
An UPDATE is started manually by sending a SAVE job to the incoming mailbox of the logical device unit (LDU) FAMUP. All changes made by this time to the static database, the APS directory and the PATCH directory are transmitted to the service center SZ. FAMUP and FTRNS must be active. When the SAVE job is sent, the AMO FAMUP outputs a message.
By declaring the parameter INIT=Y, the UPDATE function is initialized. All the information stored up to this point in time is deleted, together with the data transfer version numbers. Version numbers for the transfer of database updates are then counted from 1 again. The initialization must be started immediately after the generation of the MMLCMD command batch (initial generating batch), which is then stored in the HTS. The first transfer should not take place until the generating patch has been accepted.
