125.2.1
Restricting connections
This function of the AMO KNMAT can be used to restrict connections between certain combinations of origin and destination nodes. This can, for example, be used:
–
to prevent network loops by blocking transit nodes for certain connections and/or
–
to control the load on trunks i.e. - a restriction can be made based purely on incoming/outgoing node destination to prevent the trunks of a route becoming bottle necked from one particular destination; as result of call barring. The reroute will fallback to previous PBX/node where a different path will be checked.
The system date (see the ACCHECK parameter for the AMO ZAND) can be used for the attendant console telephone to suspend the restriction of connections by the node connection matrix.
