SELS - Switching the Selection Groups
Interrelationships
Parameter Description
Functions of the AMO
Error Messages and Advisories
The task of this AMO is to permit the selection groups to be switched on or off as desired.
The determination as to whether a call charge data record is to be checked by the Selection Tables of a selection group is dependent on, among other things, the current operating state of the corresponding selection group.
Therefore, each selection group is assigned corresponding state parameters.
These can be changed by means of AMOs.
Thus, it is possible to intermittently switch the station message detail recording (SMDR) on or off.
A distinction is made between the following operating states:
•
State ’ON’
The selection group is switched on.
A statement is to be made by the Selection Table allocated to the selection group. When output is made, the processed call charge data record is inserted into the output queue of the selection group, and thus released for output.
•
State ’OFF WITH QUE’
The selection group is conditionally switched on. The call charge data record is processed and inserted into the output queue the same as in the state "ON". However, output is blocked until the selection group is reset to the operating state "ON" or "OFF WITHOUT QUE".
All call charge data records that are already inserted into the output queue for output at this time, or that will be changed into this operating state in the future, remain secured for output as long as the memory capacity of the overflow memory or of the group-specific memory has been reached. When the memory capacity is reached, the output to the reserve device is started.
In this operating state, the allocated basic output device can, with reference to the output of this selection group, be maintained without a loss of data.
•
State ’OFF WITHOUT QUE ’
The selection group is conditionally switched off.
In this operating state, no call charge data record is processed in the Selection Tables of this selection group, and thus no output is made.
However, all call charge data records that are already inserted into the output queue at the time of the removal from service are still output. In the block output mode, this can result in the formation of a partial block.
•
State ’OFF’
The selection group is switched off.
In this operating state, call charge data records are not processed in the selection tables of this selection group. All call charge data records inserted into the queue at the time of the removal from service are deleted.
At the operation mode "fast output" (configured by AMO FEACG) the output will be restricted to the first selection group. It will not be possible to switch a selection group higher than selection group one.
