Trace objects
are:
a)
Messages that are exchanged between tasks
b)
LAN data of the various LAN layers
Trace points
are locations in the Hicom software at which the tracer is called.
The tracer offers extensive options for selection criteria. There is a
selection table
for each trace point.
The selection table for a trace point contains the conditions which must be fulfilled by a message in order to be stored in the trace buffer by the tracer.
Typical, most frequently-used selection criteria in a message are for example:
•
Byte 0 destination task
•
Byte 1 source task
•
Byte 4 event code
The selection table contains also "conditional conditions". During the trace process these conditions control a specific manipulation of the selections which depends on the content of the message.
