Parameter Description
Several execution AMOs (GENDB, REGEN) are to run simultaneously on a support system, but only one for each HW module (SWU, ADS). The "VEGAS" central administration file generated by this AMO is used to coordinate these sequences for each support processor.
In the DISPLAY branch, the AMO VEGAS checks the system status by interrogating the following:
•
APS (SP) numbers in the DIR files
•
System number in the database.
In addition, all execution AMOs marked as ’RUNNING’ are checked to determine whether or not they are really running. If necessary, entries in the VEGAS file are then updated. If no VEGAS file yet exists on the hard disk, then the file is created in the DISPLAY branch of the AMO and the current system data is entered.
The data contained in the VEGAS file is edited and output on screen at the service terminal or as hardcopy on the printer. The standard output format (LIST=SHORT) gives an overview of the system number, execution AMOs entered, the APS (SP) number of the AMO Text APS (if the DIR file record is complete, i.e. the 3 relevant APSs ’RES-CODE-APS’, ’AMO-CODE-APS’ and ’AMO-TEXT-APS’ are entered). In addition, the format shows the start time of the AMO, the user code and the AMO status. In the more detailed format (LIST=LONG), the following additional information is output:
The callup parameters of entered generating runs, the end time of the AMO or time of termination if the AMO was aborted (status= (’FINISHED’ / ’INTRUPTD’), all relevant APS (SP) numbers as well as the BREAK mark and the RESERVE code (if RESERVE=Y declared). The output may also be completely suppressed if desired by declaring LIST=NONE (e.g. if starting VEGAS in a branch of an execution AMO).
The DELETE branch allows the user to cancel current entries or reservations in the VEGAS file. This releases the HW modules concerned, i.e. the status is reset to ’FREE’. HW module entries can only be cancelled if they no longer have the status entry ’RUNNING’, in other words, entries for active (operational) AMOs cannot be cancelled.
The CHANGE action allows the user to reserve modules for a future run.
