OpenScape 4000 SoftGate (and the STMIX/STMIY) offers video support for both native SIP subcribers and trunks, using SIP Media Proxy (SMP) feature.
The SMP feature allows an SDP to traverse the OS4K transparently, resulting in E2E codec negotiation.
DMC feature configuration is mandatory to allow SMP negotiation.
The information required for SMP resulting in E2E video codec negotiation and payload is also transported networkwide via Cornet NQ protocol.
