10.2.16.1. Feature Description Previous topic Parent topic Child topic Next topic

This feature enables you to set tones and announcements for each access point on a country and language-specific basis. This means that stations will hear suitable tones and announcements for the set country/language. These are created by the SIU part of the NCUI board. Individual tones can also be assigned varying SIU functions on an access point-specific basis. In addition, the country code can also be set specific to the access point.

All known subscriber types (analog, digital, IP) can be used.
Analog subscriber boards can be configured per access point on a country-specific basis (this may be necessary, for example, to set the correct companding algorithm).
The dial tone receiver of the SIU part of the NCUI can also be configured on a country-specific basis.
External announcement devices (configurable via AMO SSC) can be assigned to all host and AP shelves or to individual shelves only (all host shelves certain AP shelves).
The feature is valid for classic access points and for soft APs.
