With OpenScape 4000 V8 only one SoftGate Application ordering number
is available.
The older SoftGate variants OpenScape 4000 SoftGate can still be seen
and configured in the system, e.g. when upgrading from V7 to V8:
- OpenScape 4000 SoftGate 50 Up to 50 ports for IP subscribers (HFA and SIP
subscribers) or SIP trunking (native SIP / SIP-Q).
- OpenScape 4000 SoftGate 500 Up to 500 ports for IP subscribers (HFA and SIP
subscribers) or SIP trunking (native SIP / SIP-Q).
- OpenScape 4000 SoftGate 1000 Up to 1000 ports for IP subscribers (HFA and SIP
subscribers) or SIP trunking (native SIP / SIP-Q)/a maximum number of 256 active
ports.
With OpenScape 4000 V8 R2 it is possible to configure and start a
SoftGate instance on a running Enterprise Gateway or Survivable Enterprise
Gateway. This additional SoftGate is called "Integrated SoftGate" or
sometimes in short "iSoftGate", it is running inside a Linux Container
and it is acting and supporting most of features like any Standalone
SoftGate.
With OpenScape 4000 V10 R1 it is possible to configure and start a SoftGate instance
on both nodes of a Duplex or separated Duplex System. This additional SoftGate is
called "Integrated SoftGate" or sometimes in short "iSoftGate", it is running inside
a Linux Container and it is acting and supporting most of features like any
Standalone SoftGate.
