  • As an additional security measure, configuring SUBIPADD parameter restricts client registration to only the defined IP address, preventing multiple client (multiple IPs) registration under the same subscriber.
  • Any Register "expires" value offered by a partner will be honored with a default randomization value of 25% (to avoid load peaks). If no value is provided, then a default of 600 seconds (10 minutes) will be used. Both Randomization Timer (0% will deactivate randomization) and default time (when none received) will be configurable. The range 120-3600 is allowed for Default Registration Period. The new configuration parameters replace the old ones and can be found under WBM > Configuration > Voice Gateway > SIP Parameters.

  1. With this range a random timer will be taken from between this range for further re-registrations after the initial SIP REGISTER message.
The usual minimum time allowed for SIP registration is hard coded as 120 seconds. Should more than 60 subscribers be configured, then the minimum time is then 120 + number of SIP subscribers over 60 e.g. for 65 stations, the minimum allowed time is then 125, for 70 subscribers 130 seconds etc.
    INFO:
It is recommended not to exceed 20 SIP Registration messages per second.
