14.2.5.8. Message Waiting Indication (MWI) Previous topic Parent topic Child topic Next topic

The Message Waiting Indication MWI feature is activated/deactivated on each SIP subscriber by setting the PMIDX parameter in AMO SBCSU and using authorization MB in COS of the subscriber.
The feature is realized both for OpenScape 4000 SoftGate and common gateway HG 3500.

MWI feature activation:

  • Use AMO RICHT for MODE=PM to create a new IDX for phone mail access:
ADD-RICHT:MODE=PM,IDX=1,SAN=0894711,NAME=XPRESSION;
MODE=PM

  • PMIDX=1 must be set for SIP subscribers in AMO SBCSU.
  • Set AVCE=MB (mail box (authorization to receive mail)) with AMO COSSU in the subscriber COS.

MWI feature deactivation:

  • PMIDX=0 must be set for SIP subscribers in AMO SBCSU.
  • Set DVCE=MB to remove/deactivate authorization to receive mail in the subscriber COS with AMO COSSU.
