IMPORTANT:
For SIP subscriber: If DMC is not active,
the payload is exchanged between the SIP subscriber and its HG 3500 (or
vHG 3500). If DMC is active, the payload is exchanged exclusively
via the end-to-end payload path.
Example 1: HFA Subscriber A at OpenScape 4000 A calls HFA Subscriber
B at OpenScape 4000 SoftGate
Example
2: SIP Subscriber A in OpenScape 4000 A calls SIP Subscriber B at OpenScape
4000 SoftGate
Example
3: SIP Subscriber A at OpenScape 4000 A calls HFA Subscriber B at OpenScape
4000 SoftGate
Example
4: HFA Subscriber A at OpenScape 4000 A calls SIP Subscriber B at OpenScape
4000 SoftGate
If a SIP device or SIP native trunk on OpenScape 4000 SoftGate communicates
with a DMC endpoint (not DMC proxy!), a media relay on the OpenScape
4000 SoftGate is always switched between them. This corresponds to an
RTP proxy which always routes the media stream (RTP) via the OpenScape
4000 SoftGate.
