The "Signaling and Payload Encryption" feature encompasses the encryption of payload data and signaling data within OpenScape 4000 systems or between such systems and the associated endpoints. Additionally, calls in networks with HiPath 3000 V7 (and higher) and OpenScape Voice V3.1 R2 (and higher) are transferred encrypted.
A PKI (Pubic Key Infrastructure) is needed to use signaling and payload encryption. For more information, see Section 1.3.1, “PKI (Public Key Infrastructure)”.
IMPORTANT:
T38 fax streams are not supported for SPE.
