To activate the “DTMF Outband Signaling”, the following steps have to be made:
  1. Deactivate RFC 2833 via AMO CGWB:
CHA-CGWB:MTYP=CGW,LTU=<ltu>,SLOT=<slot>,TYPE=ASC,RFCDTMF=NO;
  1. To activate H.323 DTMF Outband Signaling, transmission of DTMF tones according to RFC 2833 has to be deactivated. Against a widely held belief transmission of DTMF tones according to RFC 2833 is not a DTMF Outband Signaling, but an Inband Signaling using special codecs.
    To deactivate it parameter RFCDTMF in AMO CGWB path ASC has to be set to NO on both sides.
  2. Activate “DTMF Outband Signaling” via WBM (Parameter DTMF Outband Signaling)
  3. WBM: Configuration > Payload > HW Modules
