16.2. Feature interaction and restrictions Previous topic Parent topic Child topic Next topic

The auxiliary devices for Unify Phone (e.g. OSMO) must be configured on a SoftGate or STMIX/STMIY (STMI2/STMI4 are not supported). The auxiliary device is linked to a desk phone which defines the E.164 number of the Unify Phone user.
The TDM, HFA, DECT (classic and IP) and UFIP SIP devices can be used as desk devices (Classic SIP and analogue devices are not supported). The desk devices can be out of service or unplugged. It is currently not possible to change the linkage of an auxiliary device after configuration, but you can change the type of the auxiliary device via the CLNTTYPE parameter in AMO-SBCSU. To change the linkage, the auxiliary device has to be deleted and reconfigured and a new value for the CLNTDESK parameter must be added in AMO-SBCSU.
It is possible to configure Unify Phone, OSMO on the same SBC as OpenScape 4000, but a Unify Phone user must not be configured for parallel usage of Unify Phone and other applications (e. g. UC, OSCC, C4B Xphone, OSMO etc).
Since the CICA component is shared between Unify Phone, OSMO, the UnifyPhone CSTA profile must be used. Using this profile for OSMO clients in SIP only mode will cause a short call setup delay of 2s. The CSTA Connectivity Adapter which is used for CICA must not be shared with other applications which are not using E.164 number format.
It is recommended to use G.711 as preferred codec because DTMF over OPUS codec is not functional yet.
It is not possible to answer a call from Unify Phone when the desk phone is a hunt group member and a call to the hunt group is ringing on the desk phone.
The following OpenScape 4000 features are not supported together with Unify Phone:
  • CHESE group (Executive/ Secretary);
  • DSS keys configured via AMO ZIEL with the desk phone number of a Unify Phone user will not signal an incoming call until it is forwarded to the desk phone;
  • Parallel Ringing (Classic ONS group);
  • Personal Device Group (Twinning);
  • Hunt groups;
  • Multi-line support;
  • COM groups and one way speaker calls.
  • Secret Numbers (SSTNO = Y in AMO SBCSU) (1)
  • When DECT phone is switched off, auto-pilot routing is not executed (e.g. routing to Alternative number or Voicemail are not executed)
  • DECT phone auto-answer is not supported (outgoing calls made from application using deskphone option, must be answered from a physical DECT phone)
INFO:
If the F5 key is pressed on a Web Client during an active call, the call will be dropped.
F5 can be pressed to eliminate display issues that occur only in idle state.

 (1) This is a temporary restriction.
