The AMO ATCSM processes the descriptions of asynchronous devices and device types as well as the allocation of these devices and device types to physical lines and enables the activation of a device or a line.

The AMO ATCSM does not process the description of device 1, the device type allocated to device 1 and the allocations to line 8, because this description, together with the allocations, forms the configuration of the standard administration and maintenance terminal.
