ACTIVATE-BST
The function ACTIVATE starts the BST. The parameter SOURCE specifies the symbolic input device the cyclic file will be found.
If the parameter DEST is not supplied, the output will be displayed on the logical output device the BST was started from.If parameter MARK is supplied with N, no framemark for further processing of the messages will be added. In the other case (the default value for the parameter MARK is Y.) a framemark will be added to every message. The AMO expects a response from BST, therefore time delays can occur.
If there are any problems, starting BST (e.g. gets no logon, file access error, .....), the AMO gets a negative resonse with additional information about the error reason.

Activate the Background Signalling Task with output device different the device, the AMO was started from and without framemark.

2.
Activate the Background Signalling Task with the same output device, as used to start the AMO and with framemark.
Input:
ACTIVATE-BST:SOURCE=DPT3;
Output:
H01: BST SWITCHED ON.
