The AMO CLIST serves to output files written cyclically by the FILE TASK.

Cyclic files are configured with AMO ASSGN. The difference between cyclic files and other files is the special file header structure. Cyclic organization means that when writing a file of limited length, the system returns to the beginning of file as soon as the file end is reached.
The old contents are then overwritten from the beginning.

In the Hicom system, C-files are filled with texts. These texts may be fault reports generated by the dependabilty system, text output from resident tasks (freerunning messages) or text output by AMOs. The AMO output function is confined initially to fault reports already processed by the MMI.

The main task of the AMO is to read text output from resident tasks (freerunning messages) and text output from AMOs.
The AMO HISTO is used to read the HTS-Histo file.

The name of the C-file must begin with "C-". The AMO assumes hat the cyclic files are found on the :AMD: area (Configured by AMO ASSGN).

The AMO displays the text stored in the cyclic file line by line. Either the entire cyclic file or a specified number of lines can be displayed.

There is a paging function (forward) similar to that of the AMO LIST.
After outputting a complete screen page, the AMO requests confirmation indicating whether output is to be continued or terminated, or whether all the remaining lines are to be output at once.

The oldest line may be incomplete. This is caused by the overwrite function of cyclic files. This line will be displayed too, but there is no guarantee that the line is complete.
