ADD-DBC
Change the architecture type and location taking into account the data from the hardware configuration table for generating customer databases on a support switch.
Note
This AMO action was introduced to facilitate system generation on a support switch. After the parameter ARCHTYPE has been entered, a table is checked on the hard disk. All the necessary values are then taken from this table. The table can be read with the following command:
STA-
LIST
:":PDS:APSU/HWARCH0",,,M,N;
This table is generated by STARTUP and should not be modified.
A ADD-DBC command can only be executed after a EXEC-DBC command.
Only the decimal place of the architecture type can differ from the previous architecture type. Architecture types of one architecture with the same digit on the second place of the architecture type (e.g. 01, 11, 21, 31) have the same applications.
Between a EXEC-DBC command and ADD-DBC command, the following parameters must not be changed: BAPPL, DBAPPL, ASSEMBLY, CLASS and DIMEN. The parameter OPMODE can be changed between EXEC-DBC and ADD-DBC command.
The version counter is not increased for a ADD-DBC command.

Example
Generate the following system: SYSTEM 600, EXTENDED-COMPACT-EXTENDED, DUPLEX on a 40CMX support switch
Input:
EXEC-DBC:350E,35;
ADD-DBC:85;
Output:
ADD-DBC:85;
H500: AMO DBC STARTED
H04: EXEC-
APC
TASK MUST BE CARRIED OUT.
AMO-DBC -109 DATABASE CONFIGURATION
ADD COMPLETED;
Note
If the CONFIGURATION DATA cannot be loaded, the AMO is terminated and error message F04 issued.
If the hardware architecture table cannot be loaded, the AMO is terminated and error message F12 issued.
If the hardware architecture table contains incomplete and/or invalid values, the AMO is terminated with error message F14.
If the second place of the architecture type is not the same as the previous one, the AMO will be terminated with error message F18.
If one of the following parameters was changed after the EXEC-DBC command, the AMO will be terminated with error message F19:
BAPPL, DBAPPL, ASSEMBLY, CLASS, DIMEN.
