98.2.2 CHANGE-FTBL

When changing a format, the user can choose between changing the format itself or changing only the field description of a variable field in a format.

If the format is changed, the field descriptions for the variable fields are requested in interactive mode.

Example

In format table 4, the fill character in the variable data field for the call charge units should be changed to a " ".
