118.7 Conventions and Restrictions

From Hicom E V3.0 onward the JOB Task on ADP provides ONLY for DMS ( Domain
Mangement System ) the entry point to execute HICOM AM-Batch files ( the
integrated LINUX will not be delivered any more ) .

The name of the Batch File has to consist of capital letters.

–

A modification of an entry into the JOB Table is only possible by a DELETE
of the JOB by a DELETE ORDER from the DMS application with a subsequent
new BATCH- ORDER( send of a message to JOB Task, containing the Batch
File).

–

Name convention for the Batch File: the second colon has to be the fifth character.
e.g.: :DMS:BATCH/C009AN160094.C

–

If the JOB-Table is full ( 256 entries ) further Batch Jobs will be discarded without
acknowledgement.

–

If the file containing the JOB Table is deleted with AMO-DEL, it is created with the next
Batch Job. Entries of the CRON Table belonging to the fomer JOB Table ( entries with
JOB Index /= 0 ) will be deleted.

A DELETE Order concerning a Batch Job, which has a state different from
BATCH_JOB_WAITING and TRANSFERE_TERMINATED, will be discarded,
if it originates from the DMS application. The DELETE Order will be discarded
and acknowledged negatively if it originates from AMO JOB.

BATCH Jobs staying in the state BATCH_JOB_RUNNING CANNOT be canceled
by the JOB Task.

–

Regular Batch Jobs or Singular Batch Jobs, which are to be executed in the
future, are rounded off to 10 min because of the logics of the CRON Task.

–

During the startup the JOB Task checks the new format of the CRON Table
( from EV3.0 onward ). If the CRON Table has an old format, i.e. it has only
max. 32 entries, it is deleted and an empty CRON Table with the new format
is created.
