By means of AMO LDSRT it is possible to block calls to certain dial numbers. The LCR restriction tables are assigned to LCR route elements by the help of AMO LDAT. When an LDSR table is assigned to an LCR route element all dial numbers included in LDSR table are not allowed for that route element.

More than one LDSR tables can be assigned to one route element. There are 16 LDSR tables and up to 5120 dial numbers, which constitute from two parts, can be stored. The first part is called First Digit String (FDS) with 1-5 digits while the second part is called Second Digit String (SDS) with 1-8 digits. The limit of the amount of SDSs is administrated by AMO DIMSU.

All dial numbers with the FDS are combined to a dial number group and stored in a LDSRT. In one LDSRT it is possible to store 16 FDS groups. AMO LDSRT handles one FDS and 20 SDS input values at once. The SDS values will be split into packages of up to 20 if they are more than 20 for one FDS.

It is possible to enter SDS ranges in the user interface, however, SDS numbers will be stored in the database as single values. In order to decrease the memory requirements the ranges will be stored as compressed values. For example, the user has entered 089 for FDS and 6000&&7110 for SDS. The range of SDS will be compressed and the resulted numbers will be stored in the database as follows:
