196.3.2 Functional Overview

The following functions are implemented in the AMO:
a)
Activation / Deactivation of AutoTracer, storing an AutoTracer file with the command
AUTOTR
b)
Storing a trace buffer of a specified tracer in a file and store or restore tracer selection tables in or from a file with the command COPY

c)
Assignment of a file to the output with command DISPLAY

d)
Output of trace objects with DA, DB, DF, DL and DN or with DA-T, DB-T, DF-T, DL-T and DN-T (output without time stamps)

Termination of the AMO with END.
Important: The tracer itself remains unaffected !

Activation / Deactivation and definiton of the Flagtrace selections with FLAGTR

Definition of the maximum number of trace objects which are to be entered in the buffer, with MAXNO.
h)
Definition of the maximum entry length for messages entered in the buffer, with MSGLEN (message length)

Definition of selections for a netwide trace-stop with the command NETSTOP.
j)
Deactivation of the StandardTracer with OFF

Activation of the StandardTracer, determination of poolsize and tracing to hard disk with command ON

Change the processor, which controls the Tracer with command P (processor)

Activation / Deactivation and definition of selections for RDSTracer with the command
RDSTR

Resetting a trace buffer, the trace buffer pool and selection tables with RES (RESet)

Definition of the restart stability of the tracer with RST
p)
Selection of dynamic device memories by means of the command SELDYN (SELect DYNamic memory)

Selection of messages or LAN objects with SELMSG (select message)

Input of an advisory for other users of the tracer with command USER
In general the Hicom-tracer is not used by just one user. Therefore it is sometimes difficult to check who made the possibly existing tracer-settings and to check if they are still needed.
For assigning the tracer-settings to an user the user can enter any comment (e.g. name, telephone number,...). This comment will be displayed in connection with status displays (STA,...;).
