196.4.2.10 AutoTracer (AUTOTR)

An automatic Tracer function (AutoTracer) is implemented in SWU-Tracer. If the AutoTracer is not deactivated by the user it starts automatically after every restart and the AutoTracer buffers (up to 7 buffers if there is no other trace active and at least 2 buffers if other trace is active) are written to the AutoTrace file. The AutoTracer message selection can be displayed using STA,AUTOTR;.
Below you can find the default settings (which are set after every reload or if the selections are reset):

The default message selection from AutoTracer can be changed by the usual SELMSG,AUTOTR; command. The current group selections are:
- Group 1 to 4 select record-type SW (CP and PP);
- Group 5 and 6 select record-type RCV.
IMPORTANT:  It is not recommended to change the default AUTOTR trace message selection!
Please refer to command RES,AUTOTR; for resetting the AutoTracer selection settings.
In case of a standard trace buffer (ON,BUF;) the used buffers (by standard trace) are kept for two hours after the "OFF" command and afterwards those buffers are released to be available for AutoTracer again. In case of standard trace to HD the buffers are immediately released after "OFF" command, so they can be available for AutoTracer.
Activation and Deactivation of AutoTracer
With the commands
AUTOTR, ON;
and
AUTOTR, OFF;
it is possible to switch on and off the AutoTracer by the user.
Note: at a reload the AutoTracer is switched on automatically.
Changing the AutoTracer file size
After a restart the buffer of AutoTracer is always written into the same file. The filename (:AMD:ACTF/AT/A or B) could not be changed.
AUTOTR,FILE,60,":PAS:TEST"; 60 is the size of file (no. of block), default is 20
Through this command the AutoTracer file size could be changed. Additional the AutoTracer file is saved with another filename.
The old AutoTracer file is deleted and a new (empty) AutoTracer file is created.
To save the AutoTracer file without losing the data in the file use the AMO COPY.
