202.2.1
ADD-UCSU
Create LTG
With the creation of an LTG the LTG status ’not equipped’ is cancelled and the LTG is assigned the status ’not loaded’.
The LTG newly created by AMO UCSU can be placed into service by means of AMO USSU following complete configuration.
Since EV3.0 only one LTG (LTG1) can be configured. The parameter itself will not be canceled for certain reasons.
Create LTU or AP
The data (module type, identification code) required for the creation of an LTU is read out of the module table (UBGDAT) reloaded by the AMO and entered in the hardware structure memory of the SWU database. Before an LTU is created the associated LTG must be set up.
The LTPARTNO parameter specifies which LTUC board will be added.
If the LTUC board doesn’t correspond to the system type the AMO will be aborted.
With parameter FRMTYPE the type of the LTU-shelf can be determined.
Hint:
•
Due to the same hardware assembly, AMO UCSU can not distinguish the new HiPath4000 600 ECS from the old HiPath4000 600 ECX. The different restrictions between the HiPath4000 600 ECX /HiPath4000 600 ECS for configuring certain FRMTYPES at certain LTU-positions (see table above), must be checked by the system administrator.
•
The parameters for system wide configurations in AMO-ZAND (SIUANN, SIUC, DTR, CP, SIU) are introduced in AMO-UCSU to have AP-specific configuration. The parameters in ZAND are still used to handle HHS configuration and default values APs.
•
Parameters CONNTYPE, LOCID and LOCATION:
These parameters are used to configure FLEX (Fiber Linked Extension Shelf) and AP LTUs. This are LTUs of one HiPath4000 switch, which i.e. are located in different buildings and are connected to the switch via fiber link or IP . The reason (in case of FLEX) is, to use a - possibly already existing - fiber link connection between the buildings for connecting the single LTUs to the switch and then connect the subscribers to this FLEX LTUs instead of installing the cables of the single subscribers to the switch room.
•
Parameter CONNTYPE:
This parameter is used, to determine if the configured LTU is a LOCAL HHS -, a FLEX HHS - or an AP LTU.
•
Parameter LOCID:
The parameter is used to identify the location of the switch for the system configurator. This parameter may only be changed by the service staff, after consulting the system configurator.
•
Parameter LOCATION:
The parameter is used, to enter the postal adress, where a FLEX LTU or a AP shelf is located.
The additional parameters PHONE and FAX specify a phone number or a fax device at this location.
Hints/Restrictions for parameters CONNTYPE, LOCID and LOCATION
:
•
The parameters are optional in case of a HHS LTU and mandatory in case of an AP LTU.
•
Configuration of a HHS LTU and parameters not entered by user:
In this case, the default values are: parameter CONNTYPE = LOCAL , parameter LOCID = three blanks and parameter LOCATION is an empty (blanks) string with the maximal possible stringlength for this parameter.
•
Configuration of a HHS LTU and parameters were entered by user:
If CONNTYPE = FLEX was entered, the user must enter a value for parameters LOCID and LOCATION. If no values were entered, the AMO will be terminated with an error message.
•
Parameter LOCATION: When a LTU is configured, the parameter will not be checked. Any entered string, which does not exceed the maximal length, will be accepted. So the user can enter a blank string with the maximal string length of this parameter.
•
If a HHS LTU with CONNTYPE = LOCAL was configured and then the CONNTYPE value is changed to FLEX (with CHANGE-UCSU), a value for parameter LOCID must be entered. A possibly still configured empty (blank) string for parameter LOCATION (default value for CONNTYPE= LOCAL LTU) is counted as a valid location string. If the CONNTYPE is now changed back to LOCAL again, there is no more possibility, to change the LOCID back to the default value of three blanks (because only numerical values can be entered for parameter LOCID). That means: once a LOCID was entered by the user, this LOCID value can only be set back to blanks by deleteing the LTU.
•
Parameter CONNTYPE and LOCATION must be entered for configuring an AP/EntGW shelf. The possible values for this configuration are only APNW or APDL.
•
Parameters PHONE and FAX:
These parameters are used to give the information under which phone or fax number a crafts person can be reached at the extended shelf location. The configurable numbers are just used as a comment and are not considered AMO internally. The combination ’*****’ (five stars) leads to the configuration of the DB zero initialization values (no number).
•
Parameter SRCGRP:
AP shelves have to be pooled within source groups. This source groups provide certain attributes of a location for some CP features like "Emergancy Call", "Autoset Relocate", LCR and more.
The source group 1 is also reserved for traditional shelves in the LTU range 1 to platform dependent max value of LTU numbers.
If the LCR dialing plan contains a "source dependent number" instead of a normal route number (see AMO-LPROF, AMO-LDPLN), LCR can investigate different LCR route numbers (according to different locations with different CO area codes) dependent on the source group. This is mostly needed for providing emergancy calls for all NBCS locations which are not in the same area code as the HiPath4000 host system.
•
Parameter LSRTADDR and APRTADDR :
This both IP addresses are needed for TCP/IP signalling connections from the SWU processor to the AP shelf, respectively forTCP/IP payload connection from the AP shelf to the SWU processor.
Before an AP shelf can be configured the IP addresses for the second LAN must be created by means of AMO-SIPCO.
After configuring an AP shelf the AP doesn’t get into service automatically. The connection build up for AP shelves has to be done by means of EXEC-USSU after configuring additional data via AMO-STMIB and AMO-APRT.
After the LTU or AP shelf has been created, the LTU modules can be configured by means of AMO BCSU.
When assigning LTG, LTU or AP the CONSY data will be checked and an appropriate advisory message will be displayed if not found.
Create
SIU
The central SIU/LTG can be configurated with the branch UNIT=LTG and the parameter SIPARTNO. Thereby those rules are valid:
•
SIUCOE
for extended compact X systems (ECX)
•
SCC
80CMX
•
DSCX
80CXE and 40CMX
•
RTM
600 cPCI
