Telekom Deutschland GmbH (TDG) - DeutschlandLAN SIP-Trunk
Q: Which setups are supported and preferred by TDG? A: All Setups
listed in above documentation are supported. For OS4K versions <V7R2
a TDM solution is provided by TDG. The TDG Router registers via SIP to
TDG, but connects to the OS4K using S2M/S0. Preferred setup from TDG
is to connect an STMIX/STMIY/STMI or SoftGate directly with the Certified TDG
Routers => Drive the “ALL IP” Rollout
Q: Is NAT supported or DMZ mandatory? A: Both setups are supported
with TDG. Due to a special logic the TDG backend/CO is checking if a
NAT IP address is used. If yes, then the TDG backend/CO recognizes and
sends the payload accordingly.
Q: Is there a special configuration necessary for DeutschlandLAN SIP-Trunk? A:
Yes, beside the predefined SIP Profile which needs to be used, also some
special rate numbers must be explicitly configured in LCR of OS4K. These
must be sent in Subscriber & National type of number format e. g.
110 or 112. Further some default payload settings need to be changed.
Please refer to chapter 4.5.3 “Configuration” for a detailed description.
Q: Are secure calls (TLS) supported for DeutschlandLAN SIP-Trunk? A:
Yes, supported for STMIX/STMIY and SoftGate. TDG supports SDES Only. STMI supports
TCP/UDP & RTP.
Q: Which is the preferred connectivity mode – registration or static? A:
In the end it comes down to the network or your needs. Both modes have
pros & cons. In case of easiness and NAT, the registration mode might
have advantages. In case of fixed host/ip the static mode might be practical.
