11.1.11. Time Synchronization Previous topic Parent topic Child topic Next topic

An exact time is required for many OpenScape 4000 functions (call detail recording, time-dependent channels, night service, etc.). All clocks in the system (up to 84) have to operate synchronously.
There are two ways of synchronizing the time:
  1. The IP network has a time server, which supports time synchronization of all OpenScape 4000 processors (the central processor and all survivability units) using the Network Time Protocol.
  2. A time server is not available in the IP network. The OpenScape 4000 platform then makes its local time available over the network for synchronizing all survivability units.
