MIKEY is a form of key management for realtime multimedia communication and facilitates the exchange of keys and other security parameters between stations. In VoIP, MIKEY can be used to exchange the master key and other security parameters to ensure secure SRTP transmission between subscribers. MIKEY is described in RFC 3830 “MIKEY: Multimedia Internet KEYing".
