General
The AMO APRT performs the following functions for APs in NBCS:
•
Configuration of the IP addresses for the AP net
The AP IP address, the Netmask and the TA IP address can be maintained per AP.
•
Configuration of the IP routing tables
The IP routing tables are a part of the board configuration data for the NCUI and the STMI boards. They consist of 8 entries each with a destination IP address, a destination mask and router IP address.
For the NCUI boards the IP routing tables are configured per board, for the STMI boards the same values in the IP routing tables are valid for all STMI boards configured in the system.
The configuration data will be loaded to the corresponding board either by plugging the board in or by means of the AMOs
BSSU
/
USSU
after successful configuration with the AMO
STMIB
.
•
Configuration of the survivability path (if allowed by PFS)
Survivability can be configured per AP. It is a purchasable feature and can only be configured by AMO APRT if the remote survivability PFS counter in the system is greater than the number of APs already configured for survivability.
•
Configuration of the alternate routing table
The entries in the alternate routing table are configured per source group index. For each particular source group index the entries in the alternate routing table are sorted by the position parameter that can be shown e.g. with a display command.
An entry in the alternate routing table consists of
–
an alternate routing number
–
an access code
–
an artificial calling number
In order to make the admistration of the alternate routing table easier a further parameter is provided to enter a range of artificial calling numbers. If an artificial calling number is entered together with a artificial calling number range it means that a there are as many artificial calling numbers configured as specified in the artificial calling number range, starting with the artificial calling number entered and incremented by one.
•
Configuration of source group related “Alternate Routing on Error” table:
For the cases of OOS (Out of Service) and AP emergency, AMO-APRT administers the source group related Alternate Routing Numbers
Entries of the table consist of
–
An Alternate Routing Number
–
An Extension number : Number of digits to supplement the alternate routing number
–
A Gateway IP address of the alternate logon switch
Administration of the table depends on the type of the alternate routing.( OOS or APE). For the type APE, Gateway IP address is not needed.
