Com group calling allows the user to call another station in a COM group via a COM group access code, followed by a COM group member number.
It also allows for two way communication through the speaker phone of member of a COM group, by use of the Intercom feature.
A device may access a COM Group call/COM Group speaker call without being a member of any COM Group. In addition, a device may be a member of a COM Group, and yet not have access to any COM Group calling.
Only Optiset- and Optipoint -devices can get an index two access a ComGroup call (AMO
SBCSU
). The same is with the classmarks (AMO
SDAT
).
Only digital stations are members of COM Groups. These may be optsets, vision2000, functional devices. Analog devices may not be members of COM Groups.
AMO COMGR makes it possible to add, display, delete and regenerate COM group data.
