"SMDR/DMDR" is elsewhere described as "Call Detail Recording" or "CDR".

The task of this AMO is to administer the bit string of call charge registration. The individual elements in the bit string can be set and cancelled; the setting of the bit string can be interrogated.

A set "bit" ensures that the other AMOs can be used to generate the outputs required for an SMDR feature.
A "bit" that is not set prohibits the creation of a feature.
If no "bit" is set (empty set), SMDR is deactivated.

Procedure to activate and deactivate SMDR or an SMDR feature:

•

Activation of SMDR
At least one feature bit must be set.

•

Activation of an SMDR feature.
Set the corresponding feature bit using AMO-FEACG. Additionally, selection groups and tables (AMO-SELG) or dialog fields (AMO-GEZAB) must be created for the corresponding call charge data output.

•

Deactivation of SMDR
All feature bits must be cancelled.

•

Deactivation of an SMDR feature.
Cancel the corresponding feature bit using AMO-FEACG. Additionally, the selection group (AMO-SELG) or the dialog field (AMO-GEZAB) for the corresponding call charge data output must be cancelled. New creation of the corresponding output is prevented by the feature bit that is not set.

Call charge data output should be deactivated for a brief time (because of maintenance or change), using AMO-SELS.

In fast output mode, AMO-GEZAB can not be started.

All features must be activated before generating. After generating, those features not immediately required can be deactivated.
