125.2.1
Restricting connections
This function of the AMO KNMAT can be used to restrict connections between certain combinations of origin and destination nodes. This can, for example, be used:
–
to prevent network loops by blocking transit nodes for certain connections and/or
–
to control the load on trunks i.e. - a restriction can be made based purely on incoming/outgoing node destination to prevent the trunks of a route becoming bottle necked from one particular destination; as result of call barring. The reroute will fallback to previous PBX/node where a different path will be checked.
The system date (see the ACCHECK parameter for the AMO
ZAND
) can be used for the attendant console telephone to suspend the restriction of connections by the node connection matrix.
