VBZ - internal traffic restrictions

The internal traffic restriction matrix regulates communications among the traffic groups (ITR groups). Stations and trunks are combined into ITR groups which have an identical traffic restriction matrix, i.e. which have the same traffic restrictions to other ITR groups.

Relations between ITR groups can be set up and changed as desired with the ITR matrix.

The following traffic relations between two groups are possible:
- A = allowed ('*' is displayed instead of 'A' for better readability)
- D = denied

Thus directional traffic restrictions between 2 ITR groups can also be regulated.

E.g.: ITR-Gr 05 --> 03 allowed
ITR-Gr 03 --> 05 denied

The trafic relation within one group must always be allowed. For that reason, the diagonal line of the matrix may not be altered (always contains the entry '*').

It has to be considered that the traffic restrictions defined by the ITR matrix apply also when using different subscriber features.

As example, consider following configuration:
restriction from ITR group 0 --> 1 (denied), the other direction (ITR gr 1 --> ITR gr 0) allowed, all other connections are allowed
Stations A, B in ITR group 0
Stations C, D in ITR group 1
Station E in ITR group 2
Z DNIT Number
Stations X, Y agents in ITR group 1 (AGENT attribute set in SDAT)

Call transfer:
E calls A (allowed), E calls D (allowed), E tries to transfer, transfer not possible, as it would result in a direct call A to D (denied)

Call forwarding:
A calls E (allowed), E has call forward to C (allowed), the call forward is executed, the call from A reaches C in this case, although the direct call A to C is not allowed

Conference call:
E calls A (allowed), E calls D (allowed), E makes conference, all parties in conference; in case E leaves the conference, A and D remain connected, as after the conference is established no further ITR checks are performed

Hunt group call:
C master hunt, D and E members of the hunt group, A calls C, call is allowed because the hunt group has a member (E) which A is allowed to call;
call distributed to E (as only call from A to E is allowed); if E is busy, A receives busy tone

ACD call:
calls to DNIT numbers are allowed even if direct calls to agents are restricted via ITR
A calls DNIT number Z,
X logged on and available, call routed to X (call allowed because it is an ACD call), X answers the call
In case Y is LOGGED ON agent:
X can consult and transfer to Y, transfer is allowed
X can make single step transfer (from an application) to Y only in case X has the CALLDIR attribute set in SDAT
In case Y is NOT LOGGED ON, no transfer is possible from X to Y.

A second static matrix is used to regulate traffic relations between card users and card readers. This matrix is administrated by the AMO VBZA. To be noticed that VBZA is not enhanced to administer up to 64 ITR groups. Therefore traffic relations between card users and card readers can be regulated using first 16 ITR groups.

The features ''controlled station restriction and controlled station restriction - group'', as well as controlled station-to-station restriction'', do not affect the ITR matrix. For these features, a separate table exists, which is administrated by the AMO ACTDA.

The ITR matrix is created from the database and initialized with '*' (= allowed). As a result, an ADD branch for the AMO VBZ is not necessary.

Cross Reference to Other AMOs:

AMO TACSU/TDCSU : Line configuration, Switching Unit
AMO TSCSU

Destination Processor: BP (Switching Unit)

DISPLAY Interrogate the ITR matrix password class 0
CHANGE Change the ITR matrix password class 2
