This feature provides the ability to integrate external employees
into the call distribution from OpenScape Contact Center V10, so that
a terminal device does not have to be provided at the OpenScape 4000
for each external employee. A login at a virtual extension (extension
without physical terminal device) is possible. The external employee
logs on to the virtual extension with Agent Portal Web and activates
his or her external phone number as preferred device.
That means that an OSCC user (agent ONS) can use the OSCC Preferred
Device (static OND) with OpenScape 4000 in such a way that there is no
physical device on the ONS. That means there's only a device achievable
on the OND but no device active on the ONS.
