When an internal user A is calling another internal user B who has activated call
forwarding
to an external number, an announcement can be activated and played to the caller A
letting him
know the call is about to leave the internal telephony network e.g. "Your call a is
diverted to public network / the destination number is outside of the secured / internal
/
company network"
Covered scenarios:
- Internal user A can be located in the same node (OS4K) as internal user B.
- User A calls user B, which has a forward to an external destination.
- At LCR level, the forwarded call is rejected, if the outgoing route is marked in
LDAT with a specific flag (
LATTR=FWDOUT ).
- A new connection from user A to the synchronized announcement is build.
- User A hears the announcement.
- After the announcement stops, user A calls the forward destination. This time, the
call isn't rejected anymore at LCR level.
- Internal user A can be located in a different OS4K node than internal user B (also
OS4K). Between the two nodes there is a TIE network link (TDM trunk or IP
trunk).
- User A calls user B, which has a forward to an external destination.
- At LCR level, the forwarded call is rejected, if the outgoing route is marked in
LDAT with a specific flag (
LATTR=FWDOUT ).
- A new connection from user A (the incoming TIE trunk in OS4K) to the synchronized
announcement is build.
- User A hears the announcement.
- After the announcement stops, user A (incoming TIE trunk in OS4K) calls the forward
destination. This time, the call isn't rejected anymore at LCR level.
User Perspective:
The user A will hear an announcement before the call is forwarded to an external
destination.
