License Counting
Starting with OpenScape V8 R1 all trunks are license free and separate port licensing is possible for IP and TDM ports. The license model change was to aid a more competitive offering to customers (whereby TDM licenses have a lower cost than FLEX ones.). The two types of license now offered are:
1.
OpenScape 4000 FLEX (Valid for IP and TDM)
2.
OpenScape 4000 TDM (Valid for TDM only)
The sum of contracted/used FLEX and TDM licenses cannot exceed 12000.
FLEX License counting
Flex licenses are intended to primarily cover IP subscribers.
If no TDM licenses are available then FLEX licenses will also be consumed by TDM devices.
•
each ADD-SBCSU, device type: OPTIP, UFIP or connection type: SIP increments FLEX counter by 1, except UFIP used as Circuit CLIENT (parameter CLNTDESK=CLIENT) which is license free.
•
each ADD-ACSU, ACTYPE=ACWMQIP or ACW2QIP increments FLEX counter by 1
TDM License counting
TDM licenses cover Analog, Up0E, ISDN and Cordless, PSM, PSE V8 devices which used FLEX licenses in previous versions.
TDM licenses can be used only for the previous mentioned devices, while FLEX licenses can be used for all device types.
Once all TDM contracted licenses are used, next analog/TDM device added will use FLEX licenses.
The counting of used TDMs from will be done in following way:
•
each ADD-SCSU entry increment TDM counter by 1 (except ACL stations - virtual help devices "INS=ACLSTN" and SIGNOFF devices )
•
each CMI BASE station ( configured via ADD-SBCSU ) increment TDM counter by 4
•
the following digital devices (configured via ADD-SBCSU) increment the TDM counter by 1 (qualified by the “device type” parameter in the AMO command): KEY300, SET500, SET600, SET700, OPTISET, S0PP. Furthermore, extension boards (CBUSEXP, MBUSEXP, OPTIEXP) increment the TDM counter by 1 likewise.
•
the following digital devices (configured via ADD-SBCSU) increment the TDM counter by 2 (qualified by the “device type” parameter in the AMO command): SET500&, SET600&, SET700&, OPTISET&
•
a primary rate interface (configured via ADD-SBCSU, “device type” parameter “S2PP”) increments the TDM counter by 30
•
the virtual devices (VIRTDTE configured via ADD-SBCSU) and SIGNOFF devices ( changed on BCSU or SBCSU level ) are license free
•
each ADD-RCSU entry increment the TDM counter by 1
•
each ADD-ACSU where ACTYPE is AC4 or ACW2Q or ACWMQ increment the TDM counter by 1
•
each ADD-TSCSU entry increment the TDM counter by 1.
•
each ADD-SSC entry increment the TDM counter by 1 (the list of ADD-SSC entries for same PEN on different LTUs are counted as 1 entry).
