172.2.1
ADD-SELG
For the action ADD, the operator can choose between adding entries to or creating a selection group or a selection table.
The AMO executes various tests when values are entered for a selection group.
The AMO first checks the entered values against the "bit string", to determine which features have been implemented. The checks refer to the output device i.e. if an output device not implemented in the system is specified (bit not set in the bit string), the AMO rejects this entry.
The AMO then verifies the individual parameter values and changes any incorrect values, which can logically only assume a specific value within the combination, to the correct values. Only certain specific value combinations are possible (depending on the base device specified).

**) There are only these output devices permitted in fast output mode (see AMO-FEACG, value FAST)
Note
Thus, incorrect entries cannot be made because the AMO can automatically change most incorrectly entered values to correct values. If a parameter value is changed, the AMO reports this to the user.
For incorrect parameter values which cannot be corrected automatically (several logically acceptable values for one parameter), the AMO requests a re-entry.
When the selection features are entered in the selection table (entries in the selection table are possible only if the selection group has already been created), the AMO checks the compatibility of the values with each other. As in the case of the selection groups, certain parameters are dependent upon others (e.g. device and format).

Note
NOFORM can be specified for any device (if output is not desired).
If an incorrect value is entered for the format in this case, the AMO automatically changes this value to the correct value (if possible), or requests a re-entry of the desired format.
The user can specify several values for different parameters (communication service, route number, attendant console group, etc.). If, for example, several communication services are specified, all the call detail records for each of these communication services are output).
The status of the selection group remains "OFF_WITHOUT_QUEUING", i.e. although the selection group is ready, it must be put into operation explicitly by means of the AMO-SELS.

Examples:
1.
Create selection group 1 with the following parameters:
Reserve operation possible,
Base device CDRC1, reserve device is output device 1,
The block size of base device has the value 1,
The block size of reserve device has the value 60.
Input:
ADD-SELG:TBL=SELG,SELGNO=1,RESOP=Y,BASDEV=CDRC1,RESDEV=DEV1,BLBAS=1,BLRES=60;
2.
The call charges of all outgoing calls set up by the attendant console are to be displayed on the attendant console on termination of each call.
This is to be done in selection group 2 using selection table 1.

3.
All private calls with the CDR code 8 (AMO-RCUT) and over 5 call charge units are to be printed out immediately on termination. Only the first five digits of the destination number are to be printed.
This is to be executed in selection group 3 using selection table 1.
