3.6.2. Service Information Previous topic Parent topic Child topic Next topic

  • This feature is only implemented for OpenScape 4000 SoftGates.
  • Virtual boards (vHG 3530 ) with pure HFA subscribers are switched.
  • Virtual boards (vHG 3500 ) with pure SIP subscribers are switched.
  • Boards with trunking functionality are not switched.
  • The already existing feature “Standby Board HG3500” (hardware based solution for host system, shelves and hard AP shelves) remains unchanged.
  • With MobileHFA or DeskSharing, a "forced logoff" is performed in case of failure/switchover of the OpenScape 4000 SoftGate. The "visitor" has to log in to the station again after the switchover.
  • For administration or maintenance activities, the OpenScape 4000 SoftGate has to be blocked by AMO AUSS-USSU (status MAN_AMO). This is necessary to prevent a switchover when the PC is shut down.
  • After a failure case occurred a further automatic switchback is not possible, regardless of whether the switchover was previously performed automatically (cable disconnect/failure or OpenScape 4000 SoftGate outage) or by AMO. The switchback must be always performed manually afterwards to reset to the initial configuration and thus to support again a failure case switchover.
  • Switchover is possible only for same type of OpenScape 4000 SoftGate for active and standby OpenScape 4000 SoftGate (e.g. OpenScape 4000 SoftGate 50).
  • Only applies up to and including V6 R1: After a switch over from OpenScape 4000 SoftGate A to OpenScape 4000 SoftGate B (i.e. OpenScape 4000 SoftGate A is down or a loss of LAN connectivity) AMO BPOOL will correctly show all ports in status STBYDEF on OpenScape 4000 SoftGate A.
  • After OpenScape 4000 SoftGate A becomes active again, all ports should be in status STBYRDY, but the ports remain in STBYDEF.
This is also the case if the boards are switched manually back to OpenScape 4000 SoftGate A via EXECUTE-USSU:SGRED,<SG B>,HOME;.
AMO BPOOL then shows own ports in status NORMAL, but the standby Ports remain in status STBYDEF.
This is an indication error of AMO BPOOL and can be solved by ADD-CGWB:<LTU>,<SLOT>,STBYRDY;.
I.e. there is only a display problem in AMO BPOOL but there is no functional restriction/problem.
  • It is recommended to not use the DLS synchronization for the phones running under the Gatekeeper Redundancy feature in order to avoid unwanted auto configuration changes.
If DLS is in use, depending on Sync time and switchback, it requires time to perform manual CM synchronization.
