198.2.1 ADD-TSCSU

The ADD action can be used to assign up to 30 trunks in a single session (parameter NO), provided that the trunks get identical parameter specifications.

The parameter PEN describes the physical port address (port equipment number) of the trunk. The remaining parameters describe the desired configuration of the trunk.

The signaling method used by the CCM is determined by the parameter COP (Class Of Parameter).

The following correlations exist between the parameters PEN and NO in the ADD command of the AMO TSCSU:

•

If both PEN and NO are not declared, the AMO searches for an available port which suits the remaining parameters declared by the operator. If a port is available, a trunk is configured at that port and the port equipment number is displayed on the operator’s screen.

•

Parameter PEN specified but not parameter NO:
The AMO verifies that the specified port is compatible with the values declared for the remaining parameters. If this is the case, a trunk is configured at that port, and the port equipment number is displayed.

•

Parameter PEN not specified, parameter NO specified:
The AMO searches for as many suitable available ports as the number of trunks specified in NO requires, and allocates a trunk to each port. All the port equipment numbers which the AMO has assigned are then displayed.

•

Parameter PEN specified, parameter NO specified:
The AMO operates as above. However, the AMO will not assign an available port with a lower PEN than that specified in the parameter, i.e. the parameter PEN specifies the first port required and is used as a starting point for the automatic port allocation. This also applies if NO=1 and the trunk cannot be configured at the port declared in PEN, since the AMO initiates a search for a suitable port in this case, too. Thus, if the operator wishes to configure a particular trunk at a particular port (and at no other port), the parameter NO should not be declared.

The number of trunks that can be created is usually only limited by the capacity of the system (memory capacities, module frame capacities). In addition, the following feature-specific restrictions exist:

•

RAS (recorded announcement facility, synchronized)
Max. 64 devices for each system.

•

CCM (code calling equipment)
Max. two devices for each system and one device per trunk group and route access code.

•

CC (code calling, single)
For operating mode ’meet-me’ (AMO COP, PAR=CCM) there is only one device per trunk group and route access code admissable. In the other cases it is possible to assign more than one device per trunk group and trunk access code.

•

SPKR (loudspeaker)
An access code is defined for each loudspeaker area with one device, i.e. for one trunk group and route access code, one device of this type is installed. A maximum of 10 devices of this type can be installed per PABX.

•

DOOR (door opener)
One device per trunk group and route access code

With the aid of the parameter ’INS’, the operator can choose to activate a trunk immediately after entering the static data.
If a CCM is assigned with operating mode ’meet-me’, a routing access code with the DAR CCMANS (see AMO WABE) must be assigned using the AMO RICHT.

If a trunk is assigned to no or to an empty trunk group and the parameter COPNO or COTNO is omitted, recommended values are retrieved from th DB. According to the number of recommended values the AMO reacts as follows:

if exactly one value is found, it is assigned automatically:

if more than one value is found, the values and their info fields (help information) are listed and the parameter is prompted:

If the trunk group is not empty, the parameters of the trunk (except the trunk individual values PEN and INS) are set according to the other trunks of the trunk group. If differing values are specified, the command is rejected.

Example

Create the 1st trunk with the trunk number 722 (Datex-L, bothway) at pen 5-2-013-1 with the parameters: COT 4, trunk group 17, device type TCX21DTE, LCR class of service 1 and bit rate 2400 bps.
