RICHT - Trunk Routing

Routes corresponding to access codes (MODE=CD)

Using the AMO RICHT, one or more outgoing trunk groups are allocated an access code (CD). This access code is determined by the digit analysis group (DPLN), the call progress state (CPS) and the communication service involved.

All trunk groups that are not allocated to a route (RTE) by means of AMO RICHT can be seized by incoming calls only.

A trunk group consists of an arbitrary number of identical trunks with the same COTs. This trunk group is identified by a trunk group number (TGRP), which is unique in the system. The trunk groups are assigned with the AMO BUEND.

A route consists of all the possible paths (trunk groups) between two points (for all possible services), the first point being the home system and the second point the destination. The destination can be reached directly or by means of overflow onto another trunk group (alternative trunk group).

If two or more trunk groups exist in a route, trunk group overflow if busy is in the order in which they are listed. This is usualy the same as the order in which they were assigned, unless the parameter LNKPOS is specified in an ADD or CHANGE command. In general a route is selected with the code it is added to the DPLN tree (parameters CD and RTECD).

An exception is made in the case of routes via the DAR NETRTE. This digit analysis result is assigned with the AMOs DPLN and RICHT, under any desired station number, to CPS=0, i.e. the route cannot be dialed direct. This allows a more flexible route selection, in that a destination number assigned to a particular route, which leads to the NETW DAR, can also be allocated to a virtual route leading to the NETRTE DAR. Only one such route is allowed for each DESTNO. This also is valid for the external STNs, this is DAR STN with DESTNO > 0.

The Service Manual, Volume 2, AMO Usage Examples, Section Networking describes a large variety of configurations and gives examples of how they can be set up.

Code Calling

When a route is assigned for the urgent and normal code-calling DARs (DAR = CCMSURG or CCMS), if the operating mode of the multiple code-calling system is MEET-ME an advisory is output indicating that an answer code is required.
When a route is assigned for a code-calling, answer DAR (DAR = CCMANS), the number of the answering station must be specified with the parameter CCNO. However, when duplicating the route code, the parameter may be omitted.
When a route is added (assigned) to a CCM, the search codes and answer codes are not matched up. These codes may be assigned or cancelled in any convenient order.

Prevention of line booking (PLB)

To achieve better dynamics in certain cases (when a trunk occurs in several routes), it is possible to stipulate the value PLB=YES for SVC=VCE. This blocks the feature Line Booking (LB) for this route.

Notes

AMO RICHT can be used to assign routes for the DARs listed in table 1.
One name can be specified for each route.
As shown in table 1, the AMO checks whether a trunk group is permitted for the digit analysis results and services specified.
The compatibility parameter (C-parameter) is checked for plausibility, as shown in table 1.
For some DARs, the maximum number of trunk groups which can be assigned in each direction or the maximum number of trunks per trunk group may be restricted (table 2).
When a route is duplicated, all services must be specified.
With the aid of CPAR, it is possible to control trunk group overflow from one device type to another (both trunk groups must have the same CPAR).

Network Least Cost Routing (NWLCR)

The parameter LRTE is used to enable the feature LCR (Least Cost Routing) for network routes (to DAR NETRTE). This parameter must only be specified if the service VCE is processed for a route to DAR NETRTE. If such a route is set up, or if a new LRTE entry is made, the RTE number is linked to the LRTE and NWLCR is enabled for this route.

Least Cost Routing (LCR)

To be able to set up routes for use with genuine LCR (Least Cost Routing), beside the AMO RICHT the AMOs LDAT, LDPLN and LODR have to used.
The AMO RICHT is used to assign the trunk groups to the LCR routes according table 1.
LCR routes for IP-LCR have to be created without trunk groups.
The AMO LDAT is used to arrange the trunk groups according to specific (i.e. usually economical) considerations.
The AMO LODR defines additional trunk group specific parameters.
The AMO LDPLN will assign the CDs to the LCR-Routes.
All trunk groups with DAR=CO for SVC=VCE/DTE are allowed for these routes.

If no LSVC is entered, the trunk groups are installed common for both services (VCE and DTE), which will result in one maingroup for all services of the route. The AMO LDAT must handle these routes always by LSVC=ALL.
If both services shall contain different trunk groups or different values in LDAT, the first service has to be installed using MODE=LRTNEW, the other service by MODE=LRTEXT using the same LRTE.
Services installed separately by AMO RICHT must be managed in AMO LDAT seperately too (using the appropriate LSVC, except DELETE).

Subsequent changes to LCR routes in AMO RICHT must use MODE=LRTE (resp. MODE=LRTEXT).

The branches for LRTE generally contain no trunk specific parameters since the are defined by AMO LODR and assigned by AMO LDAT.

Harmonisation with AMO LDPLN (LCR) entries

Each acces code may be either used by AMO LDPLN or by AMO RICHT. A CD used by the AMO LDPLN may not be used by AMO RICHT and vice versa.

Destination Number (DESTNO)

With the DESTNO a fictive CD is assigned to an external node, being defined by using DAR NETRTE. All DESTNO must be unique within one node.
The DESTNO is used by AMO WABE to assign the DARs NETW and STN (external) to the appropriate nodes.

Physical Destination node number (PDNNO)

A physical node has 2 identifiers: the physical node number PDNNO and the physical node id PNODECD.
The own physical node id Hicom Unity is defined in AMO ZAND with Parameter PDNNO (rename of DNNO) and is still used e.g. for Feature "Automatic collection of node numbers" " to find the physical layout of the network . The own physical node number in Hicom Unity is defined in AMO ZAND, Parameter PNODECD (rename of old NODECD). The storage in DB stays within the central switch data.

Virtual Destination node number (DNNO)

A virtual node has 2 identifiers: a virtual node node number DNNO and a virtual id NODECD.
The new up to 200 virtual node IDs and node numbers are defined in a Virtual-Node-Table with AMO KNDEF.

Each route must be assigned a DNNO which is independent of the DESTNO. It describes a unique address within the network beeing reached with this RTE (see AMO KNMAT). The DNNO must differ from the number of the own node.
The parameter consists of up to three levels, LEVEL0 to LEVEL2 concatenated with a -. Not all levels must be entered, but a level between two non-zero-levels may not be zero (e.g. 3-0-17). The most right value is always LEVEL0.
Leading zeros are not regarded in any command, i.e. treated as if not entered. An all-zero-DNNO is not permitted.

Route Optimisation (ROUTOPT)

Each route can be assigned route optimization capability (ROUTOPT) in the network.

Rerouting (REROUT)

By default, each route is assigned the feature "Rerouting" (selection of new path). However, it is also possible to disable this feature for each route using the parameter REROUT.

Route Attribute (ROUTATT)

Assign a route for checking LCR permission for call forwarding extern (COSSU FWDNWK). Default is YES for routes with CO trunks, otherwise NO.

Emergency Route (EMCYRTT)

This parameter is required to indicate whether ECP shall be performed for calls assigned to this route. Default is NO.

DTMF conversion (DTMFCNV)

To permit the operation of special public exchange equipment (e.g. CITY PAGE) from digital telephones, it is necessary to convert the dial signals to DTMF. This can be done either by applying this feature permanently to a route (DTMFCNV=FIX) or by activating the feature via suffix dialling with a certain code (DTMFCNV=SUFDIAL). In this case, the DAR DTMFCONV must be set up with the appropriate code using the AMO WABE.
The digital telephone using this feature can display that this conversion is active. This is achieved with the parameter DTMFDISP. Depending on the value selected, FTEXT, DIGIT or DIGITS, only a programmed text, the text and the last digit dialed or the text and the last 5 digits dialed are displayed. In each of these cases, the desired text must be input with the parameter DTMFTEXT.

Stipulation of the DTMF parameters is permissible only for the MODE=LRTE/LRTENEW/LRTEEXT branch and for routes with DAR NETRTE in the MODE=CD branch. In addition, the DTMF data are interpreted only in the service VCE; no check is made to determine whether or not a route has also been setup for this service.

MODE=CD

One or more trunk groups (TGRP1 to TGRP2) are allocated an access code (CD), dependent on the digit analysis group (DPLN), the call progress state (CPS) and the communication service (SVC). In addition, dial tone markers (DTNM1 and DTNM2), and a C-parameter (CPAR1 and CPAR2) can be specified for each trunk group.

A route can be simultaneously assigned up to five additional access codes (RTECD).

If a new CD is to be allocated to a route that already exists, the new CD must be specified by means of RTECD and the reference CD must be specified by means of CD. The relevant DPLN and CPS must be declared, and SVC declared as ALL. DPLN and CPS must be the same as for the reference access code.

The trunk group sequence is stored without modification in the RICHT tables. Their sequence can be modified by means of the function CHANGE.

Assigning more than two trunk groups with different values for DTNM, or CPAR is only possible by repeating the ADD command.

Trunk groups can be inserted at any position in the trunk group sequence with the aid of the parameter LNKPOS. If this parameter is not specified, the trunk groups are added to the end of the sequence.

When a route is assigned for a code-calling, answer DAR (DAR = CCMANS), the number of the answering station must be specified with the parameter CCNO.

When duplicating a route, all services must be declared (SVC=ALL). In these cases, no additional parameters are allowed (NAME, LNKPOS, ..., CPAR2).

The parameter DPLN is optional. It may only be omitted if the DAR for which a route is to be assigned has already been assigned with the AMO DPLN without specification of the parameter DPLN. Omission of the parameter DPLN means that an access code for all DPLN groups in the system leads to the same DAR and to the same route.
If a route is to be expanded by one or more trunk groups, this is done using the ADD action and the existing CD.

PLB is set to NO after ADD-RICHT:MODE=CD. To switch it off or on use the CHANGE command.

The DTMF parameters are only interpreted together. Any existing entries are disregarded. If more than one code is stipulated, the DTMF parameters apply only to the first. The parameters are therefore not permissible for duplicate commands.

MODE=LRTE/LRTENEW/LRTEEXT

LRTE is mandatory for MODE=LRTENEW/LRTEEXT. For MODE=LRTEEXT the value of LRTE must lead to an already existing LRTE which has already been assigned a route by means of MODE= LRTENEW. In the case of MODE=CD and MODE=LRTENEW, none of the already assigned LRTEs should be specified. Instead, a free LRTE or the value 0 should be entered. If 0 is specified, the AMO automatically searches for the next free LRTE and subsequently issues advisory H15. LRTE does not only serve as a link to the LCR but also for addressing in all further commands.

For LCR routes an extended service information string (max. 50 chars) can be entered.

Common Parameters

The parameter DESTNO is basically optional. Only in the case of an input which leads to DAR NETRTE, the parameter DESTNO is required.

The parameter DNNO is compulsory when adding a new route.

The parameter ROUTOPT is optional. The default value is NO.

The parameter REROUT is optional. The default value is YES.

The parameter MODE is a branch parameter and is therefore mandatory. MODE=CD is used for addressing in the usual manner (via CD); the parameter LRTE is inserted immediately behind the parameter MODE. It should only be specified for commands with DAR=NETRTE. LRTE is only used as a link to NWLCR but not for addressing the route. In each further command, the route is addressed by means of MODE=CD and the respective parameters.

MODE=PM

Only one command may be used to set an entry for IDX and ACI as well. If either IDX or ACI is entered, only one entry is written.

Examples

Create a route with CD 90 via DPLN 12

Input:

ADD-RICHT:MODE=CD,CD=90,DPLN=12,CPS=5&7,SVC=VCE&DTE, NAME=RouteName ,TGRP1=2&3,TGRP2=4;

Create one route with CD 91 and RTECD 92

Input:

ADD-RICHT:MODE=CD,CD=91,RTECD=92,DPLN=7&9,SVC=VCE&DTE,NAME=RouteName,TGRP1=1&2,TGRP2=5&4;

Expand the existing route with CD 91 and RTECD 92 to include trunk group 3 which is to be inserted at the 2nd position
(RTECD can be omitted, since the route is unambiguously defined with CD 91)

Input:

ADD-RICHT:MODE=CD,CD=91,DPLN=7&9,SVC=VCE&DTE,TGRP1=3,LNKPOS=2;

A route with CD=91 should also be available with CD=92

Input:

ADD-RICHT:MODE=CD,CD=91,RTECD=92,DPLN=7&9,SVC=ALL;

Create a route for DAR CO (CD=114, RTECD=61), for CD=114 with fixed DTMF conversion and display of a text. DTMF only applies to CD=114

MODE=CD

CHANGE-RICHT:MODE=CD is used to make the following changes:

TYPE Data changed
TGRP The trunk group sequence
(The specified trunk groups are moved to a new position defined by the parameter LNKPOS. The positions of the other trunk groups change accordingly, although, of course, the original sequence is maintained).
TGRPPAR The compatibility parameter (CPAR) of a trunk group.
DTMF Data for DTMF Conversion
GEN All other route specific data.

The changes are carried out for all CDs leading to the specified route, except for TYPE=DTMF.

The automatic change of the LRTE affects only one route since there are no duplicated routes in the case of DAR NETRTE. This CHANGE command is no more than an ADD command that is carried out at a later stage. It is subject to the same conditions as the ADD command; it is also possible to specify LRTE=0.

Notes on TYPE=DTMF

This option enables the operator to change the entries for the DTMF parameters. The changes are made only for the addressed route, never for duplicate routes. The same criteria apply to DAR and SVC as for the function ADD, with the exception that non-stipulated parameters are taken from the database as a rule and compared with the inputs. Furthermore, stipulating DTMFCNV=WITHOUT causes a reset of all entries (including DTMFDISP & DMTFTEXT) and DTMFDISP=WITHOUT deletion of the entry for DTMFTEXT. DTMFTEXT cannot be deleted otherwise.

MODE=LRTE

For genuine LCR routes only route specific (i.e. service and trunk group indepentend) data can be changed. Therefore a LSVC must not be entered.

To delete a PIN of a route, use PIN=0.

The parameter BUGS (mode of device search) is set to LIN by default. In case the trunk selection should be cyclic, BUGS=CYC has to be set.

Further the service information string (max. 50 chars) can be changed.

DELETE-RICHT

TYPE=LRTE;
MODE=LRTE,LRTE=<number>, [LSVC=<param>], [TGRP=<number>];
MODE=PM, {(min 1) IDX=<number>, ACI=<number>, FAXO=<param>};

This action enables the operator to delete:

MODE TYPE Data deleted
CD ALL a specified route and all the same (duplicated) routes for the services specified.
It is sufficient to specify the access code for one route.
CD the route with the specified CDs (DPLN and CPS) for all services
TGRP one or more trunk groups
NAME route name
CQMAX call queuing capacity (obsolete)
LRTE LRTE entry for a CD
LRTE trunk group from an LCR route or complete LCR route
PM a phonemail entry related to IDX to ACI or FAXO.

With TYPE=ALL, TGRP, NAME und CQMAX the command is executed for all duplicated routes.

MODE=LRTE is subject to the same conditions as the CHANGE command for an LRTE.

In the case of genuine LCR routes (MODE=LRTE), only individual trunks or the entire route can be deleted. In the latter case, the parameter TGRP must not be specified.
A trunk to a single service of one route may only be deleted if those services had been assigned seperately.
If LSVC is not specified (or LSVC=ALL) and no trunk is specified, the complete route for all assigned services is deleted.

MODE=CD

A table is generated for each SVC and DPLN. This table indicates which trunk groups (TGRP) are assigned to which CD and CPS

When entering ranges for the parameter CD, only numerical limit values are allowed and both must have the same length.

The CC codes are represented in pairs, the first code being the search code with its associated trunk group, the second, if present, the answer code with its associated answer station line (column TGRP/CCNO).

By entering DISPL=GR, the DTNM columns in the tables can be replaced with the indices of the main groups and subgroups. These are required e.g. in conjunction with traffic measurement.
Similarly, for DISPL=GR, the information is output via PLB ('*' for PLB=Y).
In addition, the schematic for DISPL=GR also includes a block for the DTMF conversion data. This block remains empty for DARs that do not permit DTMFCNV; it contains data for all others.

In the case of DISPL=GR, the data for NWLCR is output, too, i.e. an 'L' is output for the individual trunk groups as long as they are used by the AMO LDAT. The column 'LRTE' indicates the LRTE number unless its value is 0.

The DPLN-independent data and the data for the specified DPLN is output. This means, that DPLN=0&&63 must be specified for all data to be output.

MODE=LRTE

MODE=LRTE can be used to output all or a few selected LCR routes. In addition to the values entered in ADD and CHANGE commands, the internal values of route number, maingroup index and subgroup index are displayed.

If parameter INFOPAT and/or FORMAT have been specified the user will get all routes which contains the given string in their service information string on the one hand. On the other hand the displayed informations can be reduced to only route number and service information string.

MODE=INFO

This branch gives the opportunity for certain routes to search for a given service information string pattern and to display the data found in short format.

MODE=PM

Displays all data for IDX, ACI and FAXO.

MODE=ALL

Display all data for CD, LRTE, PM. Limitation is impossible.

Examples

Display route data, service = VCE, DPLN groups 6 to 13

Input:

DIS-RICHT:MODE=CD,DPLN=6&&13,SVC=VCE;

Interrogate route data, DPLN=6, service = VCE and DTE, display = GR

Input:

DIS-RICHT:MODE=CD,DPLN=6,SVC=VCE&DTE,DISPL=GR;

Display LCR route data for LRTE=3 to 9

Input:

DIS-RICHT:MODE=LRTE,LRTE=3&&9;

Display LCR route data for LRTE=5 to 9 which contains the string "additional"

Input:

DIS-RICHT:MODE=INFO,LRTE=5&&9,INFOPAT="ADDITIONAL";

REGENERATE-RICHT

REGENERATE-RICHT
[MODE=CD],[CD=<key-num>];
[MODE=LRTE],[LRTE=<number>], [TGRP=<number>];
[MODE=PM];
[MODE=ALL];

All ADD (and possibly CHANGE) commands of mode CD, LRTE or PM will be regenerated seperately or ALL, depending on the value of paramter MODE. If MODE is not entered, ALL will be used.

The output of LCR-routes (MODE=LRTE) may be restricted to certain LCR-routes (parameter LRTE) or to routes which use certain trunk groups (parameter TGRP).
