The task of this AMO is to administer the tariff tables with and without call charge information, and the tariff groups.

There are 9 tariff tables with call charge information, 9 tariff tables without call charge information, 9 tariff tabelles with clock information and 6 tariff group tables.

Note: In the following examples the old european currencies ATS, DEM and LIRE are used.

Tariff group tables

The tariff group tables contain for each carrier and service and category of calling party a tariff table number. This is valid for connections with and without charge information. Tariff group table 0 is used for the GESP-display.

When a tariff group table is created, then a tariff table number is specified for each carrier and service and calling party.

Tariff tables with charge information

The tariff for connections with tariff information is divided into sub-tariff-intervalls. Each sub-tariff-intervall represents a charge unit limit. The actual tariff-intervall is valid until the charge unit limit. Each table contains 4 intervalls, a minimal charge and a multiplying factor. The multiplying factor is in thousandth. Cost values are in 1/1000ths of currency units¹, if in AMO DAVF the parameter COMPOS’s value is 2T or 3T. Cost values are in 1/100ths of currency units, if in AMO DAVF the parameter COMPOS’s value is between -3 and +3.

If the parameter METHOD = FACTOR is set in the tariff table with charge information (WCU) and by the network the charge information is supplied in form of (prepared) amounts, then the amounts are multiplied by the value of the FACTOR. The minimum amount is considered, in this case no basic charge is used.

With calculation after time likewise the calculated amount with the multiplication factor (FACTOR) from the WCU table with the same tariff table number, as the used WOCU table, is modified.

The calculated amounts become connection costs.

Note: The minimum charge is always indicated in 1/100 currency units, independent from the DAVF settings.

Tariff tables without call charge information

For connections without charge information, the tariff is calculated according to the actual distance and rate period.

xx: Time unit in 1/100th of seconds

yy: Price for this time unit, in 1/100th, 1/1000th or in 1/100000th of currency units² (eg. pfennigs, tenth pfennings or thousandth pfennings. Depending on adjustment of TBL=GEN)

tt: Number of the rate period-table (1-25)

cc: boolean value

(FALSE): the rate period selected at the beginning of the connection start is valid for the whole connection, i. e. a change of the rate period doesn’t affect the price.

(TRUE): if the rate period changes, the costs are calculated according to the new rate period.

mm: minimal charge of a connection, in 1/100th of currency units

bb: base charge of a connection, in 1/100th of currency units

ff: Factor for multiplication per used B-Channel ( in percent, 100% means multiplication
with 1 )

Each zone has 5 tariff ranges. The costs are calculated in dependence of the actual rate period. It is possible to specify a base- and minimum charge.

In tariff tables without charge information, the tariffs can be specified for each zone. Each zone has a day-, night1-, night2-, night3- and night4-tariff (yy) per time unit (xx). The time unit is in 1/100th of seconds, the day and night tariffs are in 1/100th, in 1/1000th or 1/100000th of currency units, depending on settings in branch GEN and parameter COMPOS.

The base charge (bb) can be negative and positiv as well. Negative base charge makes it possible to make a call free for the first n seconds. Negative costs are displayed as zero (0).

A connection is divided into rate periods, with the help of rate period tables. The number of the rate period-table (tt) that should be applied, must be entered (see AMO-TABT). The sign for change period (cc) shows if a change of rate period affects the charge calculation or not.

The charge calculation is performed the following way: the connection time is divided into time units, according to the zone and the rate period, then the time units are multiplied by the actual tariff (cost), and added. If the rate period changes during the connection, it affects the charge calculation only if (bb) is set. After this, the base charge is added or substracted. If the costs are more than zero and less than the minimum charge, the minimum charge is valid.

If several B-Channels (n) are used the costs will be calculated by using following formula:

There are 9 tariff tables with clock information which serve to set the charge pulses of analogue subscriber or public telephone

xx: basic charge: Zero, one or more charge pulses are generated and immediately sent. No periodic emittion follows. (0-15)

yy: Time, after that is sent the first impulse (in 10 ms)

(0): no first charge pulse is sent.

(>0): a first charge pulse is sent after n * 10 ms (1-999999).

(KA) Method Karlsson added: The basic charge (xx) is automatically set to 1. A pulse is sent immediately. The next charge pulse follows after a random delay time which lies between 0 and the regular charge pulse period (zz). Afterwards the pulses are sent periodically with the appropriate time interval (zz).

(KM) Method Karlsson modified: The basic charge (xx) is automatically set to 1. A pulse is sent immediately. The next charge impulse follows after a random delay time which lies between the regular charge pulse period (zz) and its twofold value (2*zz). Afterwards the pulses are sent periodically with the appropriate time interval (zz).

(K) Method Karlsson: The basic charge (xx) is automatically set to 0. The first pulse is sent after a random delay time which lies between 0 and the regular charge pulse period (zz). Afterwards the pulses are sent periodically with the appropriate time interval (zz).

zz: Period time of the periodic charge pulses (in 10 ms).

tt: Number of the rate period table (1-25)

cc: Identifier for rate period table for connections without charge information

Boolean value:
(FALSE): Segment for time of day is valid for the whole connection (Segment changes will not be considered).
(TRUE): Segment for time of day is not valid for the whole connection (Segment changes will be considered).

Determination of CCU/COSTS by transmitted or calculated Call Charge Units/Values

Carrier_1 and Carrier_2 with different:

CCI = Call Charge Information

The indicated call charge units DISPCCU or the costs DISPCOST (output in CDR as DISPCHRG) and the possibly calculated CHRGUNIT are continually determinated during the connection or at the end of the connection respectively. The tariff group 0 is always taken and parameter CCUC from AMO-ZAND is used. The costs CONCHRG are put out in CDR and are calculated in ISp during the output. For this always the tariff group n from the selection group is used

			The DISPCCU-A are displayed for the subscribers with a standardized price for a CCU. The CCU with different prices or different values of the carrier or the costs calculated by itself are changed in CCU with standardized prices. This happens because the subscriber normally doesn’t know which carrier was used to build up the connection and what is the price for this value. CHRGUNIT-A (CCU in data record A) are possibly different to DISPCCU-A (CCU displayed at the subscriber) because these have possibly different prices.Differences are possibly caused by rounding up the calculation of the DISPCCU-A Therefore always values should be displayed in Hicom from V3.4

		AOCCCU-AtoB	DISPCOST-A / Price from AMO ZAND System A The AOCCCU-AtoB are sent to System B with standardized price per CCU. The CCU with different prices or the different values of the carrier or the costs calculated by itself will be changed in CCU with standardized prices. This happens because only one price can be installed for Hicom V3.3 (ZAND). CHRGUNIT-A (CCU in data record A) are possibly different to CHRGUNIT-B (CCU in data record B) because they have possibly different prices. After multiplication they give the same costs. Differences are caused possibly by rounding up by the calculation of the CCU.
