AUN - Call Pickup Groups

Call pickup groups are groups of stations in which each station can accept calls for the other stations in the group.

Call pickup groups can be created independently of internal traffic groups (ITR groups). However, a call can be picked up only if the inter-ITR group traffic between the calling and the accepting station is permitted.

Analog and digital telephones can form a call pickup group in any combination. The call pickup between these stations is not restricted.

A pickup group comprises at least 1 station which is configured at the same node as the pickup group. In addition, the local group can be merged with remote groups being configured at remote remote nodes which support network wide pickup groups. Such a configuration is called Networkwide Pickup Group . The remote groups are specified by so called 'Remote Links'.

ONS(One Number Service)groups are groups of stations where an incoming call is to be signalled at more than one destination in parallel and where an incoming call is blocked by busy, if one station of the parallel ringing station group is busy.

Analog and digital phones including IP phones, CMI cordless phones and GSM mobile phones can form an ONS group.

The group members of a Parallel Ringing,ONS, group are always located in the same node except one GSM phone which is located in an external network.

Some Points to Note:

  • A maximum of 2000 local call pickup/ONS groups is possible in one node.

  • A call pickup group can contain in summary up to a maximum of 255 stations and remote links.

  • An ONS group can contain in summary up to a maximum of 255 stations and remote access code.

  • A station can be a member of only one call pickup/ONS group.

  • All stations in a call pickup/ONS group can be digital voice terminals (DIGITEs). For PU groups, the signaling mode is configurable due to the number of DIGITEs. Recommended is:

  • Flexible Memory Management: It is advantageous to use low group numbers in ADD-Command (or omit the parameter GRNO). That is because the group number is stored as maximum used group number and it is not possible to reduce the DIMSU-Parameter PUGR below this value.

  • For each remote link DIMSU memory is needed (REMPUG).

  • Functional voice terminals (SET600, functional point to point connections), primary and secondary station numbers of a bus or OPTISET-connection and MSN ( Multiple Subscriber Numbers ) are allowed in a call pickup/ONS group.

  • A MSN correlated to a bus- or OPTISET-connection without a functional voice terminal (SET600) cannot be added to a call pickup group.

  • The executive and secretary stations of an integrated executive/secretary telephone system may not both be members of the same call pickup/ONS group.

  • For every call pickup group a call park option is created.

  • When deleting DIGITEs, or a PU group with call park option, all parked calls are cleared. This is done by physically deactivating and then reactivating the 'parked' party's station.

  • When adding stations to or deleting stations from a PUGR, the AMO doesn't block the call pickup feature (as it was in earlier versions). It doesn't wait for pickup waiting queue getting empty, therefore new calls will not slow down the AMO execution.

  • Forced station number display for all emergency calls is optional for each PU group. The type of delay notification can also be set.

  • Certain special subscribers configured by AMO SSCSU (e.g. extension lines or "Hicom Trading Board"-Manager) are rejected as pickup group members.

  • Remote stations are connected via Remote Links . In detail, a local PU group (GRNO) is merged with a remote PU group (REMGRNO) residing at a remote node (REMAC). It must be considered that only whole groups and no single stations can be linked together. The appropriate linkage must always be defined in both directions (own -> remote node, remote -> own node).

  • In a local group only 1 Remote Link to a specific node can be configured. A remote link is identified by a remote access code and a remote pu group number. The physical node access code (AMO ZAND, parameter PNODECD) has to be used.

  • One or more PU groups can be embedded in a network wide team functionality. This is configured by assigning a Team Number (TEAMNO) to it. At least one member of such a PU group must be prepared for team functionality, that means it must have got one of the attributes TEAMEXEC or TEAMSECR. In addition, there are some restrictions to be obeyed for PU groups with team functionality:

  • Fictitious PU groups, that means for Networking reserved PU groups (NWRES=YES), are only used for transporting signaling informations between nodes in a network and therefore have no pickup functionality. Per node only one fictitious PU group is configurable. Beside the Remote Links, a PU group which is reserved for Networking must contain one and only one Floating Station.

  • Each ONS group must have one master phone and which is defined by AMO-SDAT. The other stations-if exist- must be defined as secondary phone by AMO-SDAT.

  • ONS group for CHESE members is not supported.

  • ONS group members cannot be members of call pickup groups. Moving between PU group to ONS group and vice versa is not supported.

  • ONS group members cannot be assigned to different ITR groups.

  • ONS group members cannot be nightstations.

  • Secondary phone of an ONS group cannot be member or master of a hunting group(SA). Master phone of an ONS group cannot be master of a hunting group, whereas it can be secondary phone of a hunting group.

  • ONS master and ONS secondary extension numbers must not appear on any other keyset.

  • ONS group must have only one Remote Access Code

    Procedure Overview

    ADD-AUN

    ADD-AUN {(max 1) GRNO=<number>, GRSTNO=<number>},
    TYPE=GR, {(min 1) STNO=<number>, REMAC=<key-num>, REMGRNO=<number>}, [DISTNO=<param>], [NOTRNG=<param>], [PUSECOND=<param>], [SIGNAL=<param>], [REMSIGO=<param>], [REMSIGI=<param>], [REMSIGPK=<param>], {(max 1) TEAMNO=<number>, NWRES=<param>};
    TYPE=ONS, {(min 1) STNO=<number>, REMAC=<key-num>}, [PUSECOND=<param>], [SMPF=<param>], [ONSSNS=<param>];

If a specified PU/ONS group does not exist, it is assigned with the specified stations and remote links/remote access code.

If it is already entered, the existing PU/ONS group is expanded to include the specified stations and remote links/remote access code.

A group can be specified by a group number (GRNO) or by a station number of a group member (GRSTNO). If none of these parameters is specified, the AMO creates the first available group in system.

If the station number / remote link (STNO/REMAC) is already member of another PU/ONS group, it is moved to the new/enlarged PU/ONS group.

STNO, REMAC and REMGRNO belong to a parameter PU group with condition MIN=1.

STNO and REMAC belong to a parameter ONS group with condition MIN=1.

For PU groups, REMAC and REMGRNO must be both specified in command.

STNO and GRSTNO must not be specified both.

A group must contain at least 1 STNO. The upper limit is in summary 255 STNO's / Remote Links.

With 1 command only 1 Remote Link/Remote Access Code can be added to a PU/ONS group.

If an ONS group is created with only one member, this station must be the master of ONS group. In this case, each other entered station must be defined as secondary by AMO-SDAT.

If an ONS group is created with more than one member, one of them should be already defined as master and others should be already defined as secondary by AMO-SDAT.

If ONS group tried to be created with more than three analog or digital device configuration, advisory message should be given to inform user:

  • H30: ONLY FIRST THREE MEMBERS OF THE ONS GROUP WILL BE CONSIDERED.

  • ONS group members cannot be members of call pickup groups. Moving between PU group and ONS is not supported.

Master of a hunting group is not allowed to be member of an ONS group.

Member of a hunting group is not allowed as secondary of an ONS group.
